Restaurante Valentin sits comfortably along the coastline in Alcossebre, offering a dining experience that leans into classic Mediterranean flavors with a welcoming, laid-back vibe. Its location just off the beach provides a relaxed setting where guests can enjoy views of the sea and a bit of natural shade beneath a mature tree, creating a pleasant escape from the midday sun.

The menu here highlights traditional dishes like Paella Valenciana, Arroz Con Bogavante, and Arroz Negro, alongside well-prepared tapas and fresh seafood such as mussels steamed to order or a mixed seafood grill. Portions tend to be generous, making it a solid choice for those looking for a satisfying meal, whether it’s a leisurely lunch or a casual dinner. The kitchen also lays out classics like Carrilladas (braised pork cheeks) and Crema Catalana for dessert, rounding out the meal with familiar regional touches.

Atmosphere-wise, the restaurant balances between local charm and tourist-friendly warmth. The staff are multilingual and notably accommodating, creating an environment where visitors feel at ease and well cared for. Families, groups of friends, and couples alike find comfortable spots here, with some regulars appreciating the dog-friendly policy. The service is attentive without rushing, and there's a sense of community that makes dining feel a bit like being welcomed into someone’s home.

Valentin works well for those seeking a casual Mediterranean meal with an emphasis on traditional Spanish rice dishes paired with a glass of sangria or a mojito, watched over by a friendly team who know their regulars and newcomers alike. Breakfast visitors will find simple pleasures like strong coffee with tostada con tomate y aceite. Given its location, the best times to visit stretch from midday through early evening when the light softens and the sea breeze adds to the dining experience.

Great location overlooking the beach. A bit of shade from a mature tree. Only had a bocadillo, bacon and cheese, large and very tasty with a beer, very nice with very friendly staff too.

Lovely tostadas and coffee! Their orange juice is delicious too. Valentin is always so nice and chatty with the customers. For us, it’s not a holiday in Alcossebre without having breakfast at Valentin’s.

I had mixed feelings about this tapas bar. While the food itself was quite good, the atmosphere left something to be desired - it was a bit lackluster and didn't quite match the lively vibe I was hoping for. Additionally, the service was a bit disappointing, with some staff struggling to communicate in both Spanish or English. Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area, as the food itself is definitely worth it.
